We have two dates for visiting Tough Mudder at Broughton Hall near Skipton: Saturday 28 July and, especially, Sunday 29 July when our own Nick Hodgson will be taking part along with a few thousand others. Look out for club members (beside the course) and cheer Nick on over the 10 miles and 20 plus obstacles. The event kicks off between 8am and 9am.
Go prepared for it to be wet underfoot and see some mud flying around. Boots or wellies are recommended. Protection for camera – even plastic bags and elastic bands – cling film over the lens! A monopod may help with the camera and your own stability. Longish lenses will save you getting uncomfortably close to the action whilst isolating individuals in the mud, water etc. Wider angle for portraits and some of the larger obstacles.
