Ann’s stunners: 23 March

The stunning world of monochrome photography was revealed on 23 March when the guest speaker for the Tom Haigh Memorial Lecture was Ann Miles FRPS.

She explained how mono treatment can overcome distracting backgrounds, can give images a more three-dimensional feel and may reveal subtle detail.

Moreover Ann’s outstanding images proved that mono can give photographers the scope to add drama to an image. When the colour to mono conversion process is used with appropriate software it gives maximum control over how individual colours are converted.
