5 November Rundle and Yorkshire results

1 Stu Thompson – Roseberry Topping at sunset

Two competitions were judged on 5 November, a spectacular display of dazzling images and sparking talent.  The Rundle Trophy and the J. Hardy Trophy were judged by Rosemary Wilman HonFRPS APAGB AFIAP ABPE.

The J. Hardy Trophy was on the theme of ‘Yorkshire’   while the Rundle Trophy gave members the chance to show a range of skills in three-image panels.

Rosemary Wilman said she had really enjoyed looking through the submissions and praised members for the quality of their work.  Her advice during the evening included giving attention to boring skies, saying that it’s much better to cut down the amount of sky. Attention to detail is a priority for Rosemary who advised cleaning up any distractions in an image, for example removing rubbish in a landscape or unnecessary elements.

Alison Tetley who hosted the event thanked Rosemary for her very positive and helpful feedback.

Winners of the J. Hardy Trophy were, in first place, Stu Thompson – Roseberry Topping at sunset; in second place, Alison Tetley – Barnsley heritage; in third place,  Nick Hodgson – Snowy Bolton Abbey.
