Many thanks to Sharon and Tim for hosting a fantastic evening of imaged from the 2022 Yorkshire Photographic Union exhibition. This was a chance to review and discuss the images and gauge what the YPU tends to look for when accepting photos.
Ilkley Camera Club came home from the Yorkshire Photographic Union exhibition with a good haul of acceptances and trophies for 2022.
Trophies:
- Nature Prints – Larry James (for the fourth time) – ‘Female Sparrowhawk with pigeon in the rain’
- Creative Prints – Jayne Sanderson – ‘Sardines’
- Scapes Digital – Nick Hodgson – ‘Dead Horse Point, Utah’
Certificates:
- Alison Tetley, Jack Sedgwick, Richard Spurdens (2), Sharon Sawyer (2), Tim Sawyer
Other members who got one or more acceptances:
- Andy Thomas, Len Downes, David James, Neil Bland, Peter Farmer, Keith Allen, Nigel Steels and Stu Thompson
In total we had 26 acceptances in prints (including 2 trophies and 4 certificates), with 15 acceptances in Digital (including one trophy and 3 certificates). This meant the club was placed 3rd in prints, 2nd in digital and joint 2nd overall.
