Sardonic Salon: 5 April

The London Salon of Photography took centre stage on 5 April when members viewed the images from the 2018 Annual Exhibition.

The Salon is dedicated to the artistic side of photography and that showed in the images themselves and what the Salon itself styled the “sardonic”  commentary provided. Where else would one come upon such phrases as “a morose exposure”, “jaded honed mediocrity” and “software aggravation”. Whilst members were not slow to pass their own withering comments on some of the entries, there were many that won praise and admiration.

The result was a stimulating evening that challenged perceptions, all run under the genial chairmanship of Nick Hodgson.
