The public have voted on their favourite images in the Club’s recent exhibition at Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley, and the results are in.
Top was a chilly looking Walk in the Snow by Joe Dobson. Only just behind was Marion Payne’s evocative scene inside Norwich Cathedral which she entitled Vacant Seats. And third favourite was a charming shot of an Eastern Yellow Robin taken by Keith Allen from Ilkley. There were no prizes for the top photos, just the honour of gaining the public’s approval.
But 7 year old Bella McAllister was a winner. She won a £20 voucher to spend at Annings the Camera Shop in Ilkley because her voting slip was the first one drawn at random out of the hat.
Commenting on the Exhibition, Club President Larry James said “We’ve had an outstanding exhibition this year. The public really enjoyed the 120 prints on show. People have loved the variety and quality of our work. Our free public photography talks also proved highly popular. I’m confident that we have raised the profile of photography and helped people to improve the photos they take.”
