Friday January 10, Ilkley Camera Club held its first Members’ evening of the year. Participants were invited to share their work with feedback from the club.
This event was one of a growing number of meetings presented and led by the members. Andree Feeman, a former President, said that it was encoraging that members were becoming braver in offering feedback.
Alison Tetley presented some documentary images of work being done by the Ramblers Association on the Dentson Estate.
Julia Kay gave some unusual angles on the Co and Calf Rocks.
John Fontana started his presentation with some atmospheroc images of Hookstone Woods near Harrogate.
Andree Freeman said she was inspired by a recent project by the Monochrome Group which was to spend time focussing on one location. Her chosen subject was the Saltaire United Reformed Chapel among other images she presented.
Adrian Hendley included images of Grassington and some intimate landscapes – close ups of beach textures.
Jayne Sanderson talked about her project to shoot flowers floating in a fishtank with the addition of milk.
Andy Thomas, who usually specialises in astro photography, presented images of the Harlow Carr Christmas lights.
David Garner showed some picture from Berwick upon Tween and Alnwick Castle.
Stu Thmpson said his [assion and interest was in the Yorkshire Landcape/ In his presentation he showed images of Studley Royal, Ribblehead Viaduct, Hookstone Wood and Swaledale.
