1st Carol Hardy: Autumn Light
Carol Hardy’s spectacular photo ‘Autumn Light’ was a clear winner on 8 March in the Club’s competition on ‘Seasons’. Peter Wilson from Otley took second and third place with a winter sunset and a frozen tree in winter sun. Highly Commended were images by John Chamberlain from Ilkley, Larry James from Silsden and Peter Farmer from Bramhope. Peter also had a commended image, as did David James, Helen Reynolds, Alison Tetley and Sharon Sawyer.
1st Larry James: Male Osprey fishing
In the Nature competition, a perfectly timed shot of a male Osprey fishing gained Larry James top position. Sharon Sawyer took second with a beautifully lit Chameleon and Keith Allen claimed third with his dramatic photo of a White-tailed Eagle. He also had a highly commended image, as did Peter Wilson, Carol Hardy and Larry James. Commendations went to Ken Phillip, Tim Sawyer, Peter Farmer and Alison Tetley.
Visiting judge, Allan Ogilvie from Bradford, praised the ‘cracking’ standard of the entries and provided comprehensive feedback on the images with touches of humour.
