Andy advises: 29 May

The Club’s trip to Kirkstall on 29 May proved a hit with a dozen members attending. Host Andy Aughey briefed members over refreshments on some tips for photographing inside the Abbey House Museum and for shooting at the Abbey itself.

Then the group went inside the Museum to look at the recreated Victorian streets. Tripods were allowed for this special trip so members could practise their skills with longer exposures and taking multiple shots for HDR work later.

Then, moving over the road to the Abbey, members were encouraged to take their time approaching the building to get a feel for it in its context and look for more unusual angles.

The club is really grateful to Andy for his handouts and tips, and for generously spending time with individual members during the shooting, giving advice and offering suggestions.
