The Club’s next outing is to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Wednesday 10 July. It offers great opportunities to photograph polar bears, giraffe, rhinos, tigers, leopards, lions and baboons without going to Africa or the North Pole. Get in the enclosures with wallabies, lemurs and monkeys. It is a naturalistic 70 acres reserve setting.
Lenses of at least 200 mm focal length (35 mm equivalent) are recommended for distant views but you can also get decent shots of many animals much nearer. Bring sun protection. Further details are being sent to members.
