Members experienced a really entertaining evening last Friday with visiting speaker Dave Mason all the way from Canterbury. He brought a rich and varied selection of images to illustrate his talk and it was a delight to view them.
He had all the members laughing, plus he taught them a lot about street photography. Those who want to emulate his work will practise looking 100 yards ahead and positioning themselves carefully so they do not have to jump out in front of people. They will try to keep their camera settings simple so they can concentrate on the scene before them. And they will be much more on the lookout now for serendipitous juxtapositions.
Anyone who missed the talk can get a flavour of Dave’s work by viewing his website.
