The Club outing on 18 July saw eight members taking in the beautiful architecture and designs of St James Church at Baldersby St James. A few took the opportunity to venture up the rather narrow tower and examine why the bells will never ring with a full rotation.
At ground level there were photos to be had of the stained glass windows and the marble and brickwork that are such a striking feature of the church. All that, plus tea and cake from our hospitable local hosts, made for a highly enjoyable visit.
