Club co-President Andrée Freeman was delighted to welcome a group of club photographers to her home village of Saltaire for an outing on 15 July. The rains of a week before had given way to bright sunshine – indeed if anything it was a bit too hot.
After an initial chat, members set off to pursue their own interests. Given how familiar the main sights are it was a challenge to find a new angle. But members succeeded admirably. Some looked down into the waters around them in search of wildlife – and an experiment with slow shutter speeds. Some looked up at the skyline: see if you can spot two images where the author has very expertly inserted a new sky. And not to be left out, even the lowly dustbins attracted attention.
Everyone met up later for an ice cream and a drink at the Half Moon Café, so a pleasant time was had by all.
