The Club’s Drainpipe Challenge in August 2018 had members seeking out drainpipes which had photographic interest.
Many images showed the plumber’s ingenuity as pipes bent to avoid obstacles. Some photographers homed in on historical detail. Others went for colour or abstraction. Some pipes came to life or suggested a particular character, while others caused a smile. And one photographer relied on a ‘pipe that drains’ instead of a ‘drainpipe’.
Forty-one images were sent in. Thank you to all who took part. Here’s a selection of the images. Click on the first one for a full-sized show that cycles through the shots.
