We have a club outing on Friday 15 June. In the morning we visit Butterfly World to photo a morpho peleides and a heliconius melpomene and 120 other species. Meet the reptiles and meerkats too. Long lenses useful but a macro would also be good if we can get really close.
Then, as an extra treat, we move on to the National Museum of the Royal Navy at Hartlepool to view the oldest warship still afloat in Europe, HMS Trincomalee, and the historic quayside. Wide-angle lenses could be useful for the masts and rigging as well as the ship interiors. Graduated filters may help with bright skies.
Further details of the locations were sent to members in a recent circular.
